JOURNEY

My journey in athletics began with a dream to represent my country at the highest level. From competing at the state level in 1998 to winning medals at national championships, every stage of my career has been built on discipline, persistence, and sacrifice. Over the years, I participated in multiple national and international events, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals that shaped me into a more determined athlete. My dedication took me to Commonwealth and Olympic trials, where I gained invaluable experience, and later to Jamaica, where I trained under some of the world’s most respected coaches at the Racers Track Club. Those years gave me the strength, resilience, and knowledge to stand among world-class athletes and keep striving for greatness.

Even when faced with financial challenges and setbacks during the COVID-19 pandemic, I never lost sight of my Olympic dream. Training in Jamaica and studying at the University of the West Indies deepened my understanding of elite athletic preparation and taught me the value of relentless effort. Every obstacle I encountered only reinforced my commitment to the sport and inspired me to keep moving forward. My story is one of sacrifice and perseverance, built on a passion for athletics and the belief that hard work always pays off. Today, I continue to chase my dream of achieving Olympic glory while inspiring others to pursue their goals, no matter the odds.
