ABOUT

My name is Suraj Sunil Singh Nagarkoti. I was born with a strong foundation shaped by a military family backgroundand grew up in the mountains, where toughness, resilience, and discipline became a way of life. I began participating in athletics at the age of 12, and from the very beginning, I carried a dream — to represent my country at the Olympic Games and make my nation proud on the international stage.

I come from a background where physical strength, adaptability, and discipline have always given me an edge. But beyond personal ambition, my larger goal has always been to inspire underprivileged children, creating opportunities for them to dream big and achieve success through sport.

My Motivation to Become a Full-Time Athlete

Since childhood, I have been passionate about representing my country at the global stage. Athletics gave me purpose and direction. Over time, the motivation to become a full-time athlete grew stronger, not just for medals, but to make an impact in the world of sport.

I wanted my journey to show others, especially those who lack resources, that with discipline, sacrifice, and relentless effort, nothing is impossible. Sport, to me, has always been more than competition — it is about inspiring lives and proving that hard work beats all odds.
